LOCATING YOUR SERIAL NUMBER
It helps to determine the specific model and year of manufacture. Below are examples of where to find the serial number on the different products we manufacture. When contacting Consumer Service or registering your product, you will need to know your product's serial number. We recommend that you write the serial number down in your product’s user manual or somewhere outside of your boat so you have it available for future reference.
Depending on the year the product was manufactured the serial number formats may vary. See Serial Number Format Charts below:

2008 & Earlier Serial Numbers
These serial numbers started with 4 letters and 7 numbers. They would have a format of WWAH1234567. The first two letters could change depending on the product. The last two will change depending on the year.

These serial numbers will be a 5 digit date, 1 letter for the product category, followed by 5 numbers. The 5 digit date code will be YYDDD.
Example: 22001M12345 with manufacture date of January 1st, 2022

HOW TO FIND YOUR SERIAL NUMBER ON MODELS PRODUCED AFTER OCTOBER OF 2009 TO PRESENT
All Minn Kota® products come with an adhesive label that lists the serial and model numbers. Please use this list as a guide for finding your serial number. The serial number format is J123MK12345 or 22001M012345.
TROLLING MOTORS
- Ultrex: Underneath the foot pedal
- Edge, Maxxum, Fortrex: Near the momentary switch on the underneath side of the pedal
- E-Drive: At the top of the main extrusion, underneath the steering arm
- Engine Mount: Underneath the bracket
- Endura/Endura C2/ Endura MAX: on the top of the transom bracket
- Pontoon Electric Steer: Inside the mount base below the motor rest
- PowerDrive/ PowerDrive v2/ Riptide PowerDrive: Inside the mount base below the motor rest

The serial number is located on the mounting bracket beneath the arm.

The serial number is located inside the mount near the motor rests, this can be seen when the motor is stowed.
Fortrex& Edge Trolling Motors
The serial number is located near the Momentary Switch underneath the side of the Foot Pedal.
PowerDrive, PowerDrive V2, Riptide PowerDrive Bow-Mount Trolling Motors
The serial number is located inside the mount near the motor rests, this can be seen when the motor is stowed.
Endura C2 Transom Mount Trolling Motors
The serial number is located on the top of the transom bracket.
Traxxis Transom Mount and all Bow-Mount Hand Control Trolling Motors
The serial number is located under the tiller handle.
On-Board Battery Chargers
The serial number is located on the input AC cord and the bottom of the charger.
