Returns & Refunds

At Minn Kota, we stand behind the quality of our products and want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you purchased directly from the Minn Kota website and need to make a return, please review the guidelines below.

Return Eligibility

Products purchased directly from minnkota.johnsonoutdoors.com may be returned within 30 days of purchase.

To qualify for a return, items must:

  • Be returned within 30 days of the original purchase date
  • Be unused and in new, resellable condition
  • Include all original packaging, labels, tags, and accessories
  • Be accompanied by the original receipt, packing slip, or order confirmation

Important

  • Returns received after 30 days will not be accepted.
  • If a returned item shows signs of use, wear, installation, or damage, no refund will be issued and the item will be returned to you.
  • We recommend keeping all original packaging until you've fully inspected and tested your purchase.

Items NOT Eligible for Return

The following items cannot be returned through Minn Kota:

  • Parts purchased through the Parts Portal at motors.johnsonoutdoors.com
  • Products purchased from authorized dealers, retailers, marketplaces, or other third-party sellers

If you purchased your item through a retailer or reseller, please contact that seller directly and follow their return policy.

Return Instructions

Step 1: Request a Return Authorization Number

All returns require a Return Authorization (RA) Number before they are shipped.

To request an RA Number, email our Customer Support team:

Step 2: Include Your Return Information

Place a copy of your packing slip or order confirmation email inside the package and clearly include: 

  • Order Number
  • Return Authorization Number

Step 3: Securely Package Your Item

  • Use the original packaging whenever possible.
  • Remove any old shipping labels from the box.
  • Ensure the item is packaged securely to prevent shipping damage.

Step 5: Ship Your Item

Customers are responsible for:

  • Return shipping costs
  • Insurance (if desired)
  • Scheduling carrier pickup or drop-off

Minn Kota is not responsible for items lost or damaged during return transit.

Refund Processing & Credit

Upon receipt of your return, we will inspect the items and process your credit (excluding original shipping fees) within 14 business days. We are not responsible for items lost in transit. All refunds from returns will be credited back to the customer’s original payment method.
