MAKING A POSITIVE IMPACT
HABITAT RESTORATION PROJECT
Minn Kota has partnered with Major League Fishing in the Habitat Restoration Project. Through collaboration with local agencies, MLF anglers, and fishing fans, these large-scale days of service aim to enhance local fisheries around the country. The program will provide and place materials such as brush, rock, aquatic vegetation, and spawning beds to create healthier fish and environments.
Angling tournaments have gotten a little greener this year with post-event cleanups hosted by Minn Kota in partnership with the National Wildlife Federation. We’re proud to encourage anglers and event-goers alike to help keep nature wild and litter-free.

THE LOON AND OUR FOUNDER
Our founder Sam Johnson was an outdoor enthusiast and nature photographer who loved to watch wildlife — especially the loons who frequented his favorite lake. It was this love of nature that led him to create Johnson Outdoors. After his passing, we chose the loon as the company's symbol to represent Sam's passion for protecting wild spaces for generations to come.
